Active production, 1500 W bidirectional TVS
The SMCJ30CA-13-F: It protects a single bidirectional line with a 30 V reverse standoff voltage and clamps transients at 48.4 V maximum, handling 31 A peak pulse current.
Protection parameters and board-fit
The 30 V standoff voltage means the diode draws negligible leakage below the normal operating rail — a 24 V or 28 V supply line stays protected without the TVS loading the bus. The 48.4 V clamp ceiling limits the voltage spike seen by downstream silicon, keeping it below the typical 60 V abs-max of many DC-DC converters and load switches. Packaged in a DO-214AB (SMC) surface-mount case, the part occupies a standard footprint shared across the SMCJ family. The bidirectional configuration (single channel) suits AC signal lines or DC rails where polarity is not fixed — no need to orient the diode relative to the supply.
Sourcing and lifecycle posture
Diodes Incorporated lists the SMCJ30CA-13-F as Active (current production). The -13-F suffix denotes the Tape & Reel (TR) packaging variant with 3000 units per reel. A Cut Tape (CT) option is also listed for prototype or low-volume builds. The base product number SMCJ30 covers the full family across voltage and packaging options.
