Active production — 600 W bidirectional Zener TVS for general-purpose rail clamping
The SMBJ14CA-13-F: With a 14 V reverse standoff voltage and a 23.2 V maximum clamping point at 25.8 A peak pulse current, it protects 12 V or 15 V rails from transients up to that energy level. The single bidirectional channel handles both positive and negative surges on the same line, simplifying PCB layout for signal or low-power supply protection.
Parametric fit — voltage thresholds, pulse current, and temperature envelope
Breakdown occurs at a minimum of 15.6 V, ensuring the device remains non-conductive below the protected rail's maximum operating voltage. The 25.8 A peak pulse current rating (10/1000 µs) defines the surge the part can clamp without exceeding junction temperature limits.
DO-214AA SMB footprint and surface-mount assembly
Housed in the DO-214AA (SMB) package, the SMBJ14CA-13-F mounts via standard reflow soldering and occupies a compact footprint suitable for dense PCB layouts. Supplied on Tape & Reel (Cut Tape also available), it integrates directly into pick-and-place assembly lines without manual handling.
