54V TVS for signal-line transient suppression
The SMAJ54A-13-F is a 400W unidirectional TVS diode from Diodes Incorporated, designed to clamp transients on signal and low-power DC rails. With a 54V reverse standoff voltage and a breakdown minimum of 60V, it stays transparent below the protected line's normal operating level and only conducts when an overvoltage event exceeds the threshold. The 400W peak pulse rating means it can absorb a single 10/1000µs pulse up to that power; repetitive events or longer-duration surges require derating per the datasheet curve.

Housed in the standard DO-214AC (SMA) package, surface-mount, with a supplier device package designation of SMA. The footprint is shared with many 400W TVS diodes across manufacturers, easing second-source qualification. Tape & Reel packaging suits automated pick-and-place assembly.
