Transient voltage suppressor for 22V rails
The SMAJ22CA-13-F: Its 22V reverse standoff voltage means the part conducts no leakage current below that level, so it sits across a supply rail without draining the bus. When a surge exceeds the 24.4V minimum breakdown voltage, the device avalanches and clamps the spike to 35.5V maximum, protecting downstream silicon rated for that ceiling. The 10/1000µs waveform is the telecom and industrial benchmark — the 400W rating is the energy the part absorbs in one pulse without failing.
Package and board integration
Housed in a DO-214AC (SMA) surface-mount package with the supplier device package designated SMA, this TVS fits the standard SMA footprint common to many 400W TVS diodes. The Tape & Reel packaging suits automated pick-and-place assembly for volume production. No power line protection is claimed — this TVS is intended for signal and low-power rail protection rather than mains-side clamping.
