Automotive-grade transient protection for 14V rails
The SMAJ14AQ-13-F: It operates from -55°C to 150°C junction temperature, covering under-hood and cabin environments. The 14V standoff voltage sits just above a nominal 12V battery line, so the diode stays transparent during normal operation and only clamps when a transient pushes the rail above 15.6V breakdown.
Housed in a DO-214AC (SMA) surface-mount package — the same footprint as standard SMA diodes, so no layout change if swapping from a generic SMAJ14A. No power line protection feature — this is a unidirectional TVS for signal or low-side power rail clamping, not for AC mains. The single unidirectional channel protects one rail per device.
The base product number is SMAJ14, and the full order code SMAJ14AQ-13-F includes the automotive Q-grade suffix.
