The 23.5 A peak pulse current rating defines the surge it can absorb before the junction exceeds its thermal limit. The -55°C to +150°C junction temperature range covers the full automotive under-hood ambient band, including the hot-soak condition after engine shutdown where under-hood temperatures peak above 125°C.

Housed in the DO-214AC (SMA) surface-mount package, the SMAJ10AQ-13-F uses the standard JEDEC footprint shared across the SMAJ series. Supplied on Tape & Reel (TR), it is compatible with standard pick-and-place and reflow profiles for the SMA body size. The single unidirectional channel means the cathode band orientation on the PCB must match the protected rail polarity.
