600W Zener TVS in a DO-15 axial body
The P6KE9V1A-T: It clamps at 13.4V maximum when conducting 45A peak pulse current, protecting downstream circuitry from transients exceeding the 7.78V reverse standoff voltage. Housed in the DO-204AC (DO-15) axial-lead package, it mounts through-hole and suits general-purpose transient suppression on unipolar signal or DC power rails. The junction operates from -55°C to 175°C, covering industrial and automotive thermal environments.
Clamping voltage and breakdown margin
The device triggers at a minimum breakdown voltage of 8.65V and clamps the transient to 13.4V at the rated 45A peak pulse current. This 4.75V window between standoff and clamp ensures the protected rail sees no more than 13.4V during a surge event. Power line protection is not supported — the TVS is designed for signal or low-power DC rail clamping, not AC mains or high-energy industrial bus suppression.
Obsolete — sourced through independent channels
Diodes Incorporated has marked the P6KE9V1A-T as obsolete. Available through independent distribution against an RFQ — lot traceability and date code confirmed at quote time. The DO-15 axial footprint is a standard through-hole package, so a parametric replacement from the same 600W Zener family can be cross-referenced for new designs.
