600W bidirectional TVS for 28.2V rails
The P6KE33CA-T: Its 31.4V minimum breakdown voltage (Vbr) and 45.7V maximum clamping voltage (Vc) at 13.2A peak pulse current define the protection window: the diode begins conducting just above the 28.2V standoff and holds the surge below 46V, which suits 36V-rated DC bus or 24V automotive systems with load-dump transients. A single bidirectional channel handles both positive and negative surges, eliminating the need for two back-to-back unidirectional devices on a bipolar rail.
DO-15 axial package and temperature range
Housed in a DO-204AC (DO-15) axial-lead through-hole package, the P6KE33CA-T mounts into a standard 0.025-inch diameter hole pattern on a PCB or terminal block — the lead bend radius and body standoff must clear adjacent components for creepage at the 45.7V clamp level. Rated for continuous junction operation from -55°C to 175°C, the device handles elevated ambient temperatures in engine bays, industrial enclosures, or telecom outdoor cabinets without derating the peak pulse power below the 600W ceiling — the thermal impedance of the lead-to-board solder joint is the limiting factor, not the die itself.
Obsolete — sourcing through independent channels
Available through independent distribution as new-old-stock or surplus inventory. Each reel is lot-traceable and verified against the original Diodes Inc. specifications; quantities are confirmed at RFQ time against the BOM line.
