Parametric profile and AEC-Q200 qualification
The Coilcraft LPS6235-565MRC is a shielded drum core inductor in the LPS6235 series, rated 5.6 mH ±20% at 100 kHz test frequency. The 100 mA continuous current rating and 60 mA saturation current (Isat) define the usable DC bias range — above Isat the inductance rolls off sharply, so the 60 mA figure is the practical ceiling for designs that need the full 5.6 mH. AEC-Q200 qualification certifies this part for automotive passive-component stress tests: temperature cycling, moisture resistance, mechanical shock, and vibration per the AEC-Q200 rev D regime.
DC resistance and saturation headroom
Maximum DCR is 16.4 Ohm — at 100 mA the I²R loss is 164 mW, which the 2424 body (6.20 mm x 6.20 mm, 3.50 mm seated height) dissipates without exceeding the 125°C limit in still air. The 860 kHz self-resonant frequency is well above the 100 kHz test frequency; the inductor behaves as a pure inductance below SRF. Shielded ferrite core construction contains the magnetic field — adjacent traces on a dense automotive ECU layout see minimal coupling.
LPS6235-565MRC carries an Active product status from Coilcraft.
