10 mH shielded inductor for automotive and industrial filtering
The Coilcraft LPS6235-106MRC is a 10 mH shielded drum core inductor in the LPS6235 series, rated for 75 mA continuous current with a saturation current floor of 50 mA.
What the ratings mean for your BOM
The 29.5 Ohm max DCR sets a hard thermal limit at full rated current — at 75 mA the I²R loss is 166 mW, which the shielded ferrite core must dissipate without exceeding the 125°C ceiling. Applications drawing near the saturation current of 50 mA should budget derating above 85°C ambient. Self-resonant frequency of 610 kHz means the inductor behaves as an inductor up to that point; above 610 kHz the parasitic capacitance dominates, so this part is best suited for switching frequencies below 300 kHz in DC-DC input/output filtering and EMI suppression circuits. Shielded construction and the 2424 (6.20 mm x 6.20 mm) footprint with a 3.50 mm seated height allow placement near noise-sensitive analog circuitry without coupling magnetic fields into adjacent traces or components.
Sourcing and compliance snapshot
No additional PPAP documentation is required for most Tier-1 submissions, but the OEM auditor will expect the Coilcraft certificate of compliance.
