560 µH shielded drum core for DC-DC output filtering
The Coilcraft LPS4018-564MRC is a 560 µH shielded drum core inductor in the LPS4018 series, rated for 140 mA continuous current with a saturation current of 130 mA. AEC-Q200 qualification means this inductor passed the automotive-grade stress tests (vibration, thermal shock, solder heat, and moisture resistance) — it is suited for under-hood and chassis-mounted power supplies where the ambient temperature cycles between -40°C and 125°C.
Self-resonant frequency and test conditions
The self-resonant frequency is 4 MHz — above that the inductive impedance turns capacitive, so this part filters switching noise cleanly up to the low-MHz range, typical for a 560 µH value in a buck or SEPIC output stage. Inductance is tested at 100 kHz, the standard frequency for power inductor characterization; the ±20% tolerance covers the DC bias and temperature drift across the full operating range.
The ferrite core and shielded construction mean the inductor does not radiate into nearby traces — useful when the inductor sits close to a sensitive analog or RF section on the same board.
