Automotive-grade TVS for 13.6V rails
The Bourns 1.5SMC16A-Q is a 1500W unidirectional Zener TVS diode in the DO-214AB (SMC) package, part of the AEC-Q101-qualified 1.5SMC-Q series. With a 13.6V reverse standoff voltage and a minimum breakdown of 15.2V, it protects 12V automotive and telecom supply rails from load-dump, inductive kickback, and ESD events. The -55°C to 150°C junction temperature range covers under-hood and outdoor enclosures.
AEC-Q101 qualification and package
It is intended for use in engine control units, battery management systems, and infotainment power inputs. The DO-214AB (SMC) surface-mount package supports standard reflow soldering. The tape-and-reel packaging suits high-volume pick-and-place assembly. Power line protection is not provided, so this is a signal-rail or low-power supply clamp, not a mains-side protector.
