Automotive-grade 30V bidirectional TVS for 12V/24V rail clamping
The 1.5SMBJ30CA-H: With a 30V reverse standoff voltage and a 33.3V minimum breakdown, it clamps transients to 48.4V maximum at the 31A peak pulse current (10/1000µs waveform), absorbing up to 1500W of peak pulse power — sized for 12V and 24V automotive rails where load-dump and inductive kickback exceed the normal bus voltage. The DO-214AA (SMB) surface-mount package keeps the board footprint compact — the cathode band marks the bidirectional orientation, so polarity is not a concern during placement.
Active production — no last-time-buy pressure
The AEC-Q101 qualification means the part ships with full PPAP documentation and traceability, which is the baseline requirement for automotive Tier-1 BOMs and also simplifies qualification in industrial and telecom equipment that references automotive-grade screening.
