Protection window and board-fit
Reverse standoff voltage is 26V, with breakdown guaranteed between 28.9V (min) and the clamp at 42.1V. For a 24V nominal automotive bus that sees 36V load-dump transients, the 42.1V clamp keeps the downstream ICs inside their 60V abs-max rating with margin. DO-214AA (SMB) surface-mount package — the same footprint as standard SMB diodes. No power line protection feature (the part is a pure transient suppressor, not a filter). Single bidirectional channel replaces two unidirectional TVS diodes in anti-series for bipolar rails.
