With a peak pulse current rating of 64.7 A, this part handles a direct lightning-induced transient or load-dump event on a 14 V automotive bus.
Packaged in DO-214AA (SMB), a standard surface-mount footprint with a 0.050-inch (1.27 mm) pitch — the same pad layout as many SMB Schottky and Zener diodes, so a single PCB footprint can serve multiple BOM positions for different voltage variants.
