8 MHz GBW and 2.5 V/µs slew rate — signal bandwidth and response
The 8 MHz gain-bandwidth product sets the small-signal bandwidth ceiling: at a closed-loop gain of 10, the -3 dB bandwidth is approximately 800 kHz, adequate for audio, sensor conditioning, and control loops in industrial equipment. A 2.5 V/µs slew rate means the output can swing 10 V peak-to-peak in about 4 µs, which is sufficient for amplifying fast transients like motor current shunt signals or photodiode pulses without significant slew-induced distortion.
DC precision — 20 µV offset and 15 nA bias current
Input bias current is 15 nA typical, low enough that a 10 kΩ source resistor introduces only 150 µV of additional offset — negligible in most signal-chain designs, but worth budgeting for high-impedance sources above 100 kΩ.
44 V supply span — single or split rails up to ±22 V
The supply span range is specified as 44 V for both minimum and maximum, which means the op-amp operates from a single 44 V rail or split supplies up to ±22 V — common in industrial ±15 V or ±18 V systems. The 0°C to 70°C commercial temperature grade restricts the part to indoor, controlled environments — not suitable for automotive or extended outdoor use without temperature qualification.
8-SOIC package — standard footprint for PCB integration
The 8-SOIC package with 0.154-inch (3.90 mm) body width and 1.27 mm pin pitch is a widely used footprint, compatible with many second-source op-amps in the same package — simplifying layout and BOM flexibility. Surface-mount mounting type and bulk packaging mean the part is supplied in tubes or trays, not tape-and-reel — factor this into pick-and-place setup if high-volume assembly is planned.
