Where the PGA and differential inputs matter
The on-chip PGA lets the MX7705EUE+ amplify small sensor signals before conversion, reducing the noise contribution from downstream stages. For a 10 mV full-scale bridge output, the PGA can bring the signal into the ADC's optimal input range without an external instrumentation amplifier. Differential inputs reject common-mode noise from long sensor leads — a real advantage in industrial environments where ground loops and 50/60 Hz pickup corrupt single-ended measurements. An external reference (REF pin) allows ratiometric measurements tied to the sensor excitation voltage, or a precision reference like the ADR4520 for absolute accuracy.
