Current sense amplifier for precision rail monitoring
The MAX9923HEUB+ is a single-channel current sense amplifier from Analog Devices, designed to measure current by sensing the voltage drop across a shunt resistor. Its 10 kHz -3dB bandwidth and 0.4 V/µs slew rate suit it for DC and low-frequency AC current monitoring in power management loops, motor drive feedback, and battery management systems.
Parametric profile and signal-chain fit
Input offset voltage is trimmed to 0.2 µV typical — this low offset allows the amplifier to resolve microvolt-level shunt drops without the error term dominating the measurement at low load currents. Input bias current is 1 pA, preserving accuracy when the shunt resistance is in the kilo-ohm range.
