Dual comparator with a 24 µA quiescent budget
The MAX989EUA+T from Analog Devices packs two general-purpose comparators into an 8-uMAX package, each with a rail-to-rail CMOS, push-pull, or TTL output stage. Propagation delay sits at 450 ns max — fast enough for most threshold-detection and signal-conditioning loops in industrial sensor interfaces, battery-monitoring circuits, and zero-crossing detectors. Quiescent current draws 24 µA per device, which keeps the power budget tight for battery-operated or energy-harvesting nodes. Input bias current is 1 pA at 5.5 V, so high-impedance sources like photodiode amplifiers or pH probes see minimal loading error.
Supply range and output flexibility
Single-supply operation spans 2.5 V to 5.5 V, or dual supplies from ±1.25 V to ±2.75 V. Hysteresis is ±3 mV.
Industrial temperature grade and package
Rated for -40°C to 85°C, the MAX989EUA+T suits outdoor telecom cabinets, factory-floor automation, and engine-bay-adjacent electronics where ambient temperature swings are the norm. The 8-uMAX/uSOP package (3.00 mm width) fits tight PCB layouts.
Lifecycle and sourcing
No end-of-life notices or last-time-buy windows are in effect.
