Dual comparator with on-chip voltage reference
The MAX982ESA+ integrates two comparators and a precision voltage reference in a single 8-SOIC package, eliminating the need for an external reference IC on the board. With a quiescent current of just 6µA max, this part is designed for battery-powered and low-power threshold detection circuits where every microamp counts.
Supply flexibility and threshold accuracy
Operates from a single 2.5V to 11V supply or dual ±1.25V to ±5.5V rails, making it usable in both single-supply sensor interfaces and split-supply industrial signal chains. Built-in 50mV hysteresis prevents output chatter near the switching threshold — critical for noisy environments like motor drive feedback or battery monitoring. Input offset voltage is 10mV max at 5V, and the typical CMRR and PSRR both sit at 80dB, keeping threshold accuracy stable across supply and common-mode variations.
Lifecycle and compliance
Fully RoHS3 compliant, with no exemptions that complicate EU or California market shipments.
