1.1 µA quiescent — always-on current monitor
The MAX9634TERS+T from the nanoPower series draws 1.1 µA of supply current, which makes it viable for continuous current monitoring in battery-powered systems where every microamp matters.
Bandwidth vs. power — 125 kHz GBP
The 125 kHz gain-bandwidth product limits accurate current measurement to DC or low-frequency transients — expect a usable bandwidth of roughly 10–20 kHz depending on the gain configuration. The 100 µV input offset voltage sets the floor for shunt voltage: with a 10 mΩ sense resistor, a 10 A current yields 100 mV across the shunt, giving a 0.1 % error from VOS alone.
Active production — no LTB pressure
It is supplied in Tape & Reel (TR) or Cut Tape (CT) options on a 7-inch reel, compatible with standard pick-and-place assembly.
4-UCSP footprint — layout constraints
The 4-bump CSP package measures 1 mm x 1 mm, which demands a tightly controlled PCB pad pattern and a solder-paste stencil with 0.25 mm apertures to avoid bridging. Surface-mount assembly requires a 0.50 mm pitch between bumps; the small size means the sense resistor and bypass capacitor must be placed within 2 mm of the package to minimise parasitic inductance.
