Parallel-to-serial bridge for high-speed links
The MAX9205EAI+ is a 10-input serializer that converts parallel LVCMOS or LVTTL data into a single serial LVDS output stream at up to 400 Mbps. This reduces the number of board traces between a parallel bus source and a remote receiver — a common need in camera modules, flat-panel displays, and industrial sensor heads where a ribbon cable or wide backplane is impractical. The 10:1 serialization ratio means ten parallel signals plus an embedded clock travel over one differential pair, cutting the interconnect width by a factor of ten. The LVDS output delivers low EMI and swings 350 mV typical into a 100-Ω termination, which suits cable runs up to several metres in a noisy factory floor environment.
Supply, temperature, and package constraints
The Tube shipping format is typical for prototype and low-volume builds; for production quantities, confirm reel availability with the supplier at RFQ.
