40 ns propagation delay — what it means for the loop
40 ns max propagation delay from input overdrive to output transition sets the comparator's response ceiling. At 2.7 V supply the delay stretches slightly; at 5.5 V it tightens. For a 1 MHz PWM current-sense loop, the 40 ns delay adds about 14 degrees of phase lag at the crossover — enough to push a Type-III compensator toward instability if the zero placement isn't backed off. The 1.5 mV internal hysteresis cleans up chatter on slow edges without external positive feedback.
Quiescent current maxes at 300 µA per device — the quad draws under 1.2 mA total, which keeps the thermal rise in the TSSOP negligible even at 85°C ambient. The push-pull output swings rail-to-rail without a pull-up resistor, saving a component on the BOM.
