1.2 µA quiescent — the spec that decides the application
At 1.2 µA max quiescent, this comparator is built for always-on threshold monitoring in battery-powered gear. The 0.001 µA input bias at 5 V means it won't load down a high-impedance sensor output. The trade-off is the 40 µs propagation delay: it will not track a fast overcurrent event or a switching ripple. If your signal changes slower than a few hundred Hz, the delay is irrelevant; if you need microsecond response, look at a faster comparator in the same package footprint.
Package and footprint
The SC-70-5 (SOT-353) package is a 5-pin surface-mount footprint shared by many single comparators and op-amps. The supplier device package is SC-70-5, which matches the standard SC-70-5 land pattern. No surprises for a board layout — the same pad layout works for a pin-compatible upgrade if you ever need a faster or lower-power variant.
