50 ns propagation delay — dual comparator in 8-DIP
The MAX907CPA+ from Analog Devices is a dual general-purpose comparator in an 8-pin DIP package. Each of the two comparators delivers a 50 ns typical propagation delay, fast enough for level detection, zero-crossing, and window comparator circuits in instrumentation and control loops.
TTL output and supply flexibility
Outputs are TTL-compatible, so the comparator drives standard logic inputs without a pull-up resistor. Quiescent current is 1 mA maximum per comparator, keeping the power budget low in multi-channel boards. Common-mode rejection and power-supply rejection are both 86.02 dB typical, meaning the comparator's switching threshold stays stable when the input common-mode voltage shifts or the supply rail droops under load.
Through-hole DIP — board-fit for prototyping and legacy designs
It fits standard 0.100-inch pitch prototyping boards and socket strips, making it a natural choice for breadboard validation, lab instrumentation, or retrofitting into existing DIP socket footprints. The tube packaging suits low-volume assembly and manual insertion.
