Dual comparator with a built-in voltage reference — the parametric edge

This part integrates two comparators and a voltage reference in a single 10-uMAX/uSOP package, saving board area compared to a discrete comparator-plus-reference pair. The reference is on-chip, so the threshold accuracy tracks with the comparator's own offset rather than an external resistor divider. The dual-supply option (±1.25 V to ±2.75 V) lets it sit in a split-rail analog front-end if needed. Input bias current is 1 pA max at 5 V — this is the figure that matters for high-impedance sensor interfaces. A 10 MΩ source resistance sees only 10 µV of voltage error from bias current, so the comparator does not load the signal. The 1 mV max input offset at 5 V sets the DC accuracy floor for the threshold. Propagation delay is 450 ns max, which limits the comparison rate to roughly 2.2 MHz before the output fails to settle. For a 100 kHz PWM current-sense or a 400 kHz switching regulator feedback loop, this delay is well within the timing budget.

Output drive and noise immunity for industrial signal chains
