250mA high-side switch with status flag and adjustable current limit
The MAX892LEUA+T is a single-channel P-channel high-side power switch from Analog Devices, rated for 250mA continuous output current with a typical on-resistance of 250mOhm. The load voltage range spans 2.7V to 5.5V, covering common 3.3V and 5V rails in portable and embedded systems. Fault protection includes an adjustable current limit and overtemperature shutdown. A status flag output (open-drain, active-low) asserts when the switch enters current-limit or thermal-shutdown, giving the host controller a direct indication of overcurrent or overtemperature events. The On/Off interface is non-inverting with a 1:1 input-to-output ratio — logic high on the EN pin turns the switch on. No external Vcc supply is needed; the switch is self-powered from the load rail.
Offered in an 8-TSSOP/8-MSOP (0.118", 3.00mm Width) package, also designated as the 8-uMAX/uSOP supplier device package.
