Active production, fixed 3.3V rail at 200 mA
The MAX8881EUT33+T is an active-production linear regulator from Analog Devices, delivering a fixed 3.3V output at up to 200 mA from a maximum input of 12V. The 10 µA quiescent current makes it suitable for always-on or battery-powered circuits where the regulator's own draw must not dominate the standby budget. Maximum dropout voltage of 0.2V at 50 mA means the input rail must stay at least 200 mV above 3.3V under load to maintain regulation — a 3.5V rail provides adequate headroom.
Industrial temperature grade and protection suite
Integrated protection includes over-temperature shutdown, reverse polarity blocking, and short-circuit current limiting — these prevent the regulator from failing catastrophically under a faulted load or a miswired supply. Enable and Power Good pins allow external sequencing: the Enable pin pulls the output on and off, while the Power Good open-drain flag signals when the output has settled within regulation.
SOT-23-6 footprint and compliance
Housed in a SOT-23-6 package (also designated SOT-6), the part occupies a compact 2.9 mm × 1.6 mm footprint suitable for space-constrained PCB layouts. Surface-mount assembly with Tape & Reel or Cut Tape packaging options for both prototyping and volume production. ROHS3 compliant, meeting the latest EU restriction-of-hazardous-substances directive for global market access.
