200 mA adjustable LDO with 10 µA quiescent current
The Maxim MAX8880ETT+T is a single-output, adjustable positive LDO voltage regulator rated for 200 mA continuous output current. Its quiescent current of 10 µA (typical) makes it a strong fit for battery-powered or always-on rails where standby power dominates the system budget. The output is adjustable from 1.25 V to 5 V, set by an external resistor divider. Input voltage range extends to 12 V, giving headroom for unregulated supplies or Li-ion battery stacks.
Package and thermal handling
Housed in a 6-WDFN with an exposed pad (supplier package 6-TDFN, 3x3 mm), this is a surface-mount design that relies on the pad for thermal dissipation. The exposed pad must be soldered to a copper plane on the PCB to keep junction temperature within limits at 200 mA continuous load.
Protection and control features
On-chip protection includes over-temperature shutdown, reverse-polarity protection, and short-circuit current limiting. Control inputs are provided for an active-low enable and a power-good output flag.
