Device identity and key parametrics
The MAX8877EUK33+T is a fixed-output linear regulator from Analog Devices, delivering 3.3 V at up to 150 mA from a single positive supply rail. Maximum dropout voltage is 0.165 V at the full 150 mA load (typical), so the input rail needs only 3.465 V to maintain regulation — a margin that fits 3.6 V Li-ion or 3.3 V ±5 % rails without headroom issues. The enable pin (active-high) allows the regulator to be shut down, pulling the output to high-impedance and reducing the load on the upstream rail.
Protection and temperature grade
On-chip protection covers over-current, over-temperature, reverse polarity, and short-circuit conditions. The reverse-polarity clamp protects the regulator if the input is accidentally reversed, a feature that simplifies board-level fault tolerance in bench or field power supplies. This covers most indoor and outdoor equipment enclosures that are not directly exposed to engine-bay or process heat.
Package and board integration
Housed in a 5-pin SOT-23 (SC-74A, SOT-753) surface-mount package, the part occupies a minimal footprint on the PCB. The SOT-23-5 land pattern is standard across multiple LDO families, easing second-source layout compatibility. Supplied in Tape & Reel (TR) or Cut Tape (CT) options, the packaging supports both automated pick-and-place assembly and prototype or low-volume builds.
RoHS3 compliant (2011/65/EU + 2015/863), with no exemptions listed. The part carries no halogenated flame retardants or restricted phthalates under the current directive.
