300 mA LDO with adjustable or fixed 3.3 V output
The MAX8860EUA33+T is a positive-output LDO voltage regulator from Analog Devices, delivering up to 300 mA. It can be configured for a fixed 3.3 V output or an adjustable output down to 1.25 V, making it suitable for powering analog rails, MCU I/O banks, or sensor supplies in mixed-voltage designs. The 8-uMAX/uSOP package fits space-constrained boards in industrial control, instrumentation, and telecom equipment where the -40°C to 85°C temperature range covers most indoor and outdoor enclosures.
Dropout voltage and quiescent current — what they mean for your rail
Dropout voltage is 0.155 V maximum at 300 mA load. Quiescent current is 270 µA typical.
Protection and control features
On-chip protection includes over-temperature shutdown, short-circuit current limit, and reverse-polarity protection on the input. The Enable pin lets you sequence the output on and off, and the Fault Output (open-drain, active-low) signals when the output falls out of regulation — useful for power-good handshaking with an MCU or FPGA. No external sequencing IC needed for a single-rail startup.
Package and mounting
The part comes in an 8-lead uMAX/uSOP package (3.00 mm body width), surface-mount only. The supplier device package is 8-uMAX/uSOP, which is the same footprint as a standard MSOP-8. Available in Tape & Reel (TR) or Cut Tape (CT) for prototyping or production reels.
