300 mA LDO for battery-powered and always-on rails
The MAX8860EUA27+ is a single-output positive linear regulator delivering up to 300 mA. Its 0.155 V typical dropout at full load means the input rail needs only 155 mV of headroom above the output voltage to stay in regulation — a tight margin that suits 3.3 V rails fed from a 3.6 V Li-ion cell near end of discharge. Output is adjustable from a 1.25 V reference or fixed at 2.77 V, selected by the external resistor divider. The 270 µA quiescent current keeps the self-consumption low enough for always-on sensor nodes or microcontroller keep-alive rails where every microamp matters.
Input range, protection, and temperature grade
The regulator includes over-temperature shutdown, reverse-polarity protection, and short-circuit current limiting — the protection suite means it survives a miswired bench test or a field fault without cascading damage. The 8-uMAX/uSOP package (3.00 mm width) keeps the PCB footprint small enough for dense mixed-signal boards.
Active lifecycle and sourcing posture
ROHS3 compliant. Sourced through independent distribution channels against an RFQ.
