Product details

150 mA adjustable LDO with 72 dB PSRR floor

The MAX8842ELT+T is a single-output positive adjustable LDO from Analog Devices, rated for 150 mA continuous output current. The input rail accepts up to 6 V, and the output is adjustable from a 1.225 V reference up to 4.5 V via an external resistor divider. Power-supply rejection ratio (PSRR) is specified at 72 dB at 1 kHz, rolling off to 46 dB at 100 kHz. This profile means the regulator attenuates low-frequency ripple from a switching pre-regulator effectively, but above 100 kHz the rejection drops — a downstream ceramic capacitor with low ESL helps maintain the attenuation at higher frequencies. Quiescent current is 90 µA typical, which keeps the regulator's own draw low enough for battery-powered always-on rails — a sensor node or microcontroller in sleep mode sees minimal overhead from the LDO itself.

Protection and temperature grade

Built-in over-current and over-temperature protection allow the LDO to survive a sustained short or thermal overload without external foldback circuitry.

Housed in a 6-WFDFN package (supplier device package 6-uDFN, 1.5 mm x 1.0 mm), the part occupies minimal board area.
