Environmental range and compliance
Operating temperature covers -40°C to 85°C, the industrial temperature grade.
Control and protection — what the enable and POR mean on the bench
Control features include an Enable pin and a Power-On-Reset (POR) output. The Enable pin lets a system sequencer or supervisor turn the regulator on and off — useful for power-rail sequencing in multi-voltage designs (FPGA core vs I/O, for instance). The POR output indicates when the output is within regulation; it can hold a downstream reset line until the rail is stable. Protection features — overcurrent, overtemperature, short-circuit, and UVLO — mean the regulator survives a sustained short on the output without damage, and the UVLO prevents operation below the minimum input voltage, avoiding undefined behavior.
