DDR controller with 4.5V–23V input and dual 0.8V–3.6V outputs
The MAX8538EEI+: Its input range spans 4.5V to 23V, covering common 5V and 12V rails in computing and embedded systems. The two outputs are independently programmable from 0.8V up to 3.6V, which means a single device can supply both VTT at half the VDDQ level and a separate VREF at a different voltage — a configuration that serves DDR1 through DDR4 memory interfaces without changing the IC.
28-QSOP footprint and commercial temperature envelope
Packaged in a 28-lead SSOP with 0.154-inch body width, the MAX8538EEI+ also lists the supplier device package as 28-QSOP — these are the same mechanical footprint; QSOP is the tighter-pitch variant of SSOP with identical 3.90 mm width. For extended-temperature DDR power management, a different grade would be needed.
