Package and mounting
Protection features include over-temperature shutdown, short-circuit current limit, soft-start, and under-voltage lockout (UVLO). The Enable and Power Good pins give sequencing control — handy when you need to hold off a downstream rail until the input is stable. The 10-uMAX-EP package with exposed pad helps pull heat into the board plane; on a repair bench, that pad is the first thing to check for a cold solder joint if the regulator runs hot.
