3.3V fixed LDO with 78dB PSRR at 1kHz
The MAX8510EXK33+T is a single-output positive LDO regulator from Analog Devices, delivering a fixed 3.3V output at up to 120mA. It is housed in a 5-lead SC-70-5 (SOT-353) package for surface-mount assembly. Power-supply rejection ratio (PSRR) is 78dB at 1kHz, rolling off to 54dB at 100kHz — this means the regulator attenuates upstream ripple and switching noise by a factor of roughly 8000 at 1kHz, which matters for analog and RF supply rails where clean DC is critical. Maximum dropout voltage is 120mV at the full 120mA load (typical), so the input rail needs to stay at least 120mV above 3.3V across the load range to maintain regulation — a 3.6V or 5V rail provides comfortable headroom.
Quiescent current and shutdown control
Quiescent current is 90µA typical — the regulator's own draw is low enough for battery-powered devices that spend most of their time in active mode, though it is not an ultra-low-Iq part for always-on standby. A shutdown control pin (active-low logic) lets the system disable the output, dropping the supply current to near zero — useful for power-gating peripheral rails in portable designs. Built-in protection includes over-current and over-temperature shutdown, so the regulator survives output shorts or thermal overload without external clamp diodes.
The exposed die attach pad is not present; thermal dissipation relies on the copper traces and the package body. Available in Tape & Reel (TR) or Cut Tape (CT) for prototyping — the reel quantity is the standard production format.
