The MAX8213BESE+: When any monitored voltage falls below its threshold, the part asserts an active-low reset output via an open-drain or open-collector driver, holding the system in reset until all rails recover and the reset timeout — under 1 ms minimum — expires.
What the five adjustable thresholds mean for your BOM
Five independent voltage monitors in one SOIC-16 package replace five single-channel supervisors, saving board area and reducing component count on multi-rail designs. Each threshold is adjustable via external resistors, so the same part number covers a 1.2 V core, 1.8 V PLL, 2.5 V SerDes, and 3.3 V I/O rail — no need to stock multiple fixed-threshold supervisors. The active-low, open-drain reset output lets multiple supervisors wire-OR their outputs to a shared reset line, a common topology in telecom and networking equipment where any fault must trigger a global system reset.
