Reset threshold and timeout — the fit decision
The MAX812MEUS+T: The 140ms minimum reset timeout holds the microprocessor in reset long enough for the supply to stabilise after a brownout or power-up — a standard duration that suits most MCU start-up sequences without external delay components. The active high, push-pull output drives the reset input of the processor directly — no external pull-up resistor needed. This output structure also eliminates the bus contention risk that open-drain outputs can create when multiple supervisors share a line.
Package and temperature grade
Housed in a SOT-143-4 package, the MAX812MEUS+T occupies a compact footprint on the PCB — the four-pin layout with a single ground, reset, VCC, and GND pin simplifies routing for a 2-layer board.
Compliance and sourcing
ROHS3 compliant, the part ships on tape and reel for automated assembly.
