16-SOIC battery backup supervisor — threshold and reset timing
The MAX793TESE+ is a battery backup circuit from Analog Devices that monitors a single voltage rail at a 3.075V threshold and asserts a reset output when the supply dips below that level. The reset output is configurable as either active-high or active-low, and the output driver can be set to open-drain or push-pull — so the same part adapts to both a microcontroller's active-low reset input or a logic-level enable that needs a high assertion. The reset timeout is a minimum of 140 ms, which gives the system power supply time to stabilise before the processor starts executing code. That 140 ms floor is the guaranteed minimum — the actual timeout may be longer, but the system must be designed to tolerate at least that window.
