The MAX77651AEWV+T from Analog Devices is a single-cell linear battery charger IC for Lithium Ion/Polymer packs. It delivers a programmable charge current up to 300 mA.
300 mA charge current — what it means for your BOM
The 300 mA maximum charge current sets the charge time for a given cell capacity. This part is sized for small-capacity cells typical of hearables, smartwatches, and medical patches.
I²C programmable features
Both charge current and battery regulation voltage are programmable through the I²C interface, alongside GPIO lines for status or control. The 4.6 V max battery voltage suits high-voltage Li-Poly cells common in thin devices.
Package and mounting
The 30-WLP (wafer-level package) measures 2.75 x 2.15 mm — essentially the die size. That is the smallest footprint you will find for a charger IC with this feature set, but it comes with trade-offs: no leads to inspect, and rework requires a hot-air station with a fine nozzle. The land pattern is the WLP ball array; verify the PCB pad layout against the package drawing before committing the board. Surface-mount only, supplied in Tape & Reel.
