1.5 A synchronous buck for portable and embedded rails
The MAX77503AEWC+T is a step-down (buck) converter from Analog Devices that delivers up to 1.5 A continuous output from a 3 V to 14 V input rail. The output is adjustable from 0.8 V to 5 V, covering the common core and I/O voltages for processors, FPGAs, and sensor hubs in battery-powered or multi-rail systems. Synchronous rectification is built in, so there is no need for an external Schottky catch diode — the internal low-side FET handles the return current, improving efficiency at light loads and shrinking the BOM.
1 MHz switching — inductor size vs loss trade-off
The 12-WLP package (1.85 x 1.4 mm) keeps the footprint tiny — the inductor and input/output caps typically take more board area than the IC itself.
