Product details

Filter response and the 15 kHz cutoff

The MAX7414EUA+ implements a 5th-order Butterworth low-pass characteristic using a switched-capacitor topology — the 15 kHz cutoff frequency is set by an internal clock, giving a maximally flat passband with -3 dB at that point and a roll-off of -30 dB per octave above it. A single filter channel is provided, so the part serves one anti-aliasing or reconstruction path per package. The Butterworth alignment means no passband ripple, which suits applications where amplitude flatness matters more than a sharp knee.

Supply rail and board integration

The 8-TSSOP / 8-MSOP footprint is shared across many Analog Devices filter variants, so the PCB land pattern can be reused for different cutoff versions without a board spin.
