Product details

What this 8th-order elliptic filter does for your signal chain

The MAX7403ESA+ is an 8th-order elliptic lowpass switched-capacitor filter from Analog Devices, with a 10 kHz cutoff frequency. The elliptic response gives you a steep roll-off past the passband — useful for anti-aliasing before an ADC or cleaning up a DAC output where you need to kill out-of-band noise fast without a multi-stage active filter. One filter per package — if your design needs multiple channels, you'll stack several of these or look at a multi-channel part.

SOIC-8 package — field-swap friendly

Housed in an 8-pin SOIC (0.154" wide, 3.90 mm body), the MAX7403ESA+ is a surface-mount part you can swap on site with a standard soldering iron and some wick — no hot-air station required if the board has decent pad access. The 1.27 mm pin pitch gives you room to probe with a scope clip during debug.

Active production — no EOL pressure

Analog Devices lists the MAX7403ESA+ as Active. RoHS3 compliant, so it ships into lead-free assembly lines without exemption paperwork.
