SPI I/O expander for board-level GPIO expansion
The MAX7317ATE+T is a 10-bit I/O expander from Analog Devices that communicates over an SPI interface, providing ten open-drain I/O channels for adding digital inputs or outputs to a microcontroller without dedicating GPIO pins. Each I/O can sink or source up to 20 mA, sufficient for driving LEDs, small relays, or signal-level loads directly from the expander.
