4.4V threshold supervisor for processor power monitoring
The MAX706ESA+T is a simple reset/power-on reset supervisor IC from Analog Devices, designed to monitor a single supply rail and hold a microprocessor in reset until the supply stabilizes. With a voltage threshold of 4.4V, it asserts a reset output when the monitored voltage drops below that level, then releases it after a minimum 140ms timeout once the supply recovers — long enough for most processor cores to finish their power-on initialization. The reset output is active low with a push-pull, totem-pole stage, so it drives the reset pin of a microcontroller or DSP directly without needing an external pull-up resistor.
Active production and compliance status
Fully ROHS3 compliant, the part meets the latest EU restriction-of-hazardous-substances directive, so it passes procurement compliance checks without exemption paperwork.
