A supervisor with battery-backup switchover
Both active-high and active-low reset outputs are available, each driven by a push-pull stage. That means no external pull-up resistors and the ability to interface with both reset-polarity conventions on the same board. The reset timeout is a minimum of 140ms, giving the system supply and oscillator enough time to settle before the processor starts executing code. For a 5V logic system, this part sits between the rail and the processor's reset input, with the backup battery connected to the VBAT pin.
