Single-channel sequencer in a hand-solderable package
The MAX6898AAZT+T is a single-channel voltage sequencer from Analog Devices, monitoring one supply rail with an active-low, open-drain or open-collector reset output. It lives in a TSOT-23-6 package — six pins on a 0.95 mm pitch, easy to hand-solder with a fine tip or hot-air station, no microscope required. Both the reset timeout period and the voltage threshold are adjustable via external components, so you set the trip point and the delay to match your rail's ramp-up behaviour rather than taking a fixed value from a datasheet table.
What the adjustable threshold and timeout mean for your board
Because the threshold is adjustable, this part works with any core voltage from sub-1 V up to the device's supply range — you pick the resistor divider. The adjustable timeout lets you stretch the reset pulse long enough for the downstream load (FPGA, MCU, RF transceiver) to finish its power-on sequence before releasing the reset line. Active-low polarity means the output is held low during the fault and goes high-impedance when the rail is good and the timeout expires.
Supplied on tape and reel (cut tape also available), surface-mount to a standard TSOT-23-6 footprint. No moisture-sensitive level (MSL) is stated in the record, but TSOT packages typically ship at MSL 1 — check the reel label if your reflow profile is aggressive.
