Threshold and timeout — what they mean for the rail
The 2.32 V threshold is the falling-voltage trip point. If the monitored supply dips below 2.32 V, the reset output goes low and stays low for at least 140 ms after the supply recovers above the threshold. This prevents the load from seeing a glitched power-on sequence. Because the output is push-pull, no external pull-up resistor is needed — the output drives high or low directly. This saves a resistor and a PCB trace on the board. For a design that sees engine-bay heat or cold-soak at -40°C, the supervisor's timing stays within spec.
