Reference accuracy and the board-fit story
The MAX674ESA+T: A 10 V reference with this noise floor contributes less than 2 ppm of peak-to-peak uncertainty at the ADC input — within tolerance for most lab-grade data acquisition chains.
Operating envelope and power budget
Input voltage range is 13 V to 33 V, giving headroom for a 15 V or 24 V rail to supply the reference while maintaining regulation. The 1.4 mA supply current is the quiescent draw of the reference itself — at 24 V input that is about 34 mW of dissipation in the SOIC package, well within the thermal limits for still-air operation. Output current capability is 10 mA, which can drive the reference input of multiple ADCs or a small resistive divider network without buffering. If the load exceeds 10 mA, an external buffer op-amp is needed — the reference will drop out of regulation above that current.
